“All that you touch, you change.

All that you change, changes you.

The only lasting truth is change.

God is change.”

-Octavia Butler

[A change prayer: intentional adaption1]

Expand in me

like a solar flare snap

vibe my soul

like warm gamma waves

Paint my fate

on the ancestral plains

     dark energy: searching. . .

for a world to call home

[Like the best of us, looking for rest]

Conceive in me

to stay in control

of the dreaming, believing

in a word called love

Restore this body

to the origin soul

adapting, reacting

to the stars above

[Death forgiving, peace descending, life ascending, God relenting]
