About Sam Cota:
Sam Cota (she/her) is a 1st generation Mexican-American from San Diego, California. After graduating high school, she moved to the Bay Area to pursue higher education at San Jose State University. Here she realized that she wanted to pursue a more creative route, thus beginning her makeup artist journey at Sephora. She quickly excelled and became one of the in-house studio coordinators and the lead facilitator at her store.
Now 7 years later, Sam is a full-time men’s groomer, beauty and special effects makeup artist based in Los Angeles. She specializes in beauty for TV, Film, Commercials,Editorials and Music Videos. She is currently collecting her days to join the Local 706 union and working towards getting her Barber’s license.
