Q26 Short Story Journal - September 2024
The Queer26 Short Story Collection has been REVAMPED as The Queer26 Journal! Each month, we'll select 1-5 pieces written by queer people of color to publish on our website based on a chosen theme. These pieces can be poetry or prose. This month's theme is "CHANGE".

Come join us at Fan Girl Cafe for a movie night with The Queer 26! We're watching BOTTOMS, dir. by Emma Seligman and featuring Rachel Sennott (Shiva Baby) and Ayo Edebiri (The Bear). The film will be followed by a short group discussion in a safe, queer environment.
SYNOPSIS:
BOTTOMS, a refreshingly unique raunchy comedy, focuses on two girls, PJ and Josie, who start a fight club as a way to lose their virginities to cheerleaders. Their bizarre plan works. The fight club gains traction and soon the most popular girls in school are beating each other up in the name of self-defense. But PJ and Josie find themselves in over their heads and in need of a way out before their plan is exposed. (Rotten Tomatoes)

QTBIPOC Open Mic Contest:Fall Edition
Join The Queer 26, Secret Spot DTLA, and Redline DTLA for our 3rd QTBIPOC Open Mic Contest!
The winner will receive a prize package sponsored by Secret Spot DTLA and Voltiv Sound, including a free recording, video/photoshoot, membership to the Secret Spot Studio, and more!
The contest is open to singer-songwriters, musicians, drag performers, and spoken word artists that are both Queer and BIPOC. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to attend the event, and support all the amazing artists! Sign-ups open March 1, 2023.
