Film Workshop: Exploring Color In Cinematography

  • Secret Spot DTLA 719 S Los Angeles Street #376 Los Angeles, CA, 90014 United States (map)

Step into award-winning Mo McFadden’s colorful universe through a deep dive into color techniques applied to filmmaking. This in-person class held by The Q26 is the ideal opportunity for anyone who aspire to build or refresh foundational skills.

Learn with pride and support from Mo who will guide you through the color palette used in films so you can bring your own video stories to life with vibrant emotions, and immerse viewers in your unique visual style.

Mo will share the creative and technical processes of this discipline and you will leave this experience with new knowledge, and inspiration on what to do next. It’s a “serious” topic but our expert and team will make this IRL forum a fun queer community-building moment, so don’t wait any longer and book your spot now!

Why we love Mo:

Mo McFadden is an award-winning cinematographer and director who strives to create stunning visuals of the most human moments while bringing to life diverse characters - female, POC, and LGBTQ - that have yet to be strongly celebrated on the big screen. Her specialty is in strong female and LGBTQ narratives, and she is a proud activist for both communities. With her work, Mo has had the pleasure of working with Rain Valdez, Cut, Outfest Los Angeles, The Queer 26, Trans Can Work, and Free2Luv.

Please note that this workshop is for individuals who identify as LGBTQ+. All participants are expected to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment for all attendees. Space is limited, so be sure to register soon to secure your spot! We can't wait to see what you'll create and the connections you'll make.
